I've been using this cream for couple tubes. It's creamy, rich and soothing. It helps me heal the irritated skin much faster.
Did you find this review helpful?
This one helps my acne scar to go away. I have oily skin so I don't spread it all over my face but only on the scars (really thin layer). Then it makes a dead skin cell on it and take away acne scar with it little by little.
When my dry skin that can be very prone to irritation and sometimes eczema is at its worst, this is my go to product. It is super moisturizing and soothing and definitely helps my skin to recover faster. Five stars are not enough for this one.
I found out about Avene Cicalfate from Dr Elen Marmur website where she recommends it for her after-fraxel patients. I decided to try it out since the price is reasonable. I use it after my picosure (another kind of fractionated laser) treatment and my skin heals a lot faster vs cerave cream. I can start using phloretin cf and lytera within 48 hours after picosure. I now start using avene cicalfate whenever my skin is slightly red due to winter and my daily use of retin A micro 0.1%.
I found about about Avene Cicalfate from Dr Elen Marmur website. She recommended it to her patients after fraxel procedures. I was going through series of fractionated laser treatments, picosure and decided to try it out since the price is very reasonable. My skin heals faster and I can get back to using my Lytera and Phloretin CF sooner. I've also been using this cream during winter time when my skin is more sensitive especially since I use retin A micro 0.1% every night. Avene Cicalfate really helps my skin tolerate daily retin A without any redness.
Normally when my skin suffers extreme sensitive period, I use another Avene face cream plus the spring water to help myself out. There was one time it ran out of stock and I picked this, and it really surprised me. When I applied it for the first time, I was not sold, at all, because it was so thick and even hard to spread out, but the next morning, I surprisingly noticed it was completely absorbed and no cream was still left on the surface of my skin. So my opinion, if you have really oily skin, very likely it's not right for you. But if your skin is dehydrated and sensitive, I think this works better than other Avene creams to cope with irritations, as it moisturizes better.
